As a result of bilateral negotiations between Ukraine's and Poland's vet services it was decided to create a buffer zone on preventing rabies spreading.

According to preliminary agreements, such zone will located on the territory of Ukraine, boarding with EU countries, ForUm learned from the press office of the state vet service of Ukraine. The project will be discussed November 7-8 in Brussels, during a meeting with European Commission representatives.

Ukrainian delegation headed by chairman of the state vet service Ivan Bisyuk plans to solve during the meeting the financial and organizational issues on buffer zone creation.

"Apart from the financing it is necessary to discuss vaccination of wild animals, which requires additional consultations with EC representatives," Bisyuk said.
