Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created a consultation council on improvement of social protection of Chernobyl disaster victims. The composition of the council and its regulations are registered in the Cabinet's decree of October 26, 2011.
The council consists of vice PM - minister for social policy, deputy minister for social policy, deputy minister or economic development and trade, deputy minister for regional development, deputy finance minister and others.
The consultation council is a temporary governmental body, responsible for development and preparation of propositions regarding social protection of Chernobyl disaster victims.
Proposition and recommendations of the council may be realized by means of Cabinet's decrees and resolutions.
Organizational, financial and technical support is provided by the Ministry for social policy.
