The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday failed to cancel an earlier decision on change of time order on the territory of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.

The MPs voted on this issue twice. First time the draft resolution on canceling the parliament's previous decision submitted by Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn was supported by 216 MPs and at the second time 218 MPs voted their cards for the cancellation.

Hence, on October 29-30 night Ukraine will not switch to the winter time.

As reported, on September 20, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft bill on time order on the territory of Ukraine, which provides for extablishing the second time zone with additional hour for the whole year.

This decision puts Ukraine three hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and one hour ahead of Moscow time.
