Speaker of the parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn proposes to cancel the decision of September 20 on time order on the territory of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.

At a meeting of the Conciliatory council Lytvyn declared the decision of the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for cancellation of winter time, was ill-considered and hasty. "That's why the decision must be cancelled," the speaker believes.

He suggested adopting the annulations of the given decision already tomorrow. Lytyvyn also proposed to charge the Cabinet with submitting a correspondent draft bill within a month.

"In 1996 the Cabinet issued a resolution, which has regulated the time conversion till now. I believe this issue (annulations of annual time conversion - ed.) also must be regulated by the law. Hence, I propose to charge the Cabinet with submitting a correspondent draft bill within a month. The parliament will consider and adopt the draft bill, and this issue will be finally closed. Till then, though, the resolution of the Cabinet of 1996, which provides for switching to winter time on the last Sunday of October, must be observed this year," Lytyn declared.
