Vice speaker of the parliament and one of BYuT leaders Mykola Tomenko declares that the opposition will appeal the verdict of Yulia Tymoshenko in Ukrainian courts and European court on human rights. The opposition will also call upon the people, ForUm learned from the party press office.
"It is obvious that the court is set to announce guilty verdict. So, we have several variants to use," he said.
"Parliamentary variant: we will register amendments from opposition and will demand decriminalization of articles, according to which Tymoshenko is being processed," Tomenko informed.
"We will appeal the verdict in Ukrainian and European courts. Depending on the situation we may also appeal to the people so they can help in our fight," he underlined.
Tomenko also pointed out that now it is important to prevent any conflicts near the court. "Our task is to prevent any provocations. When there are thousands of police forces near the court, it means that the authorities are afraid," the politician noted.
