Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that every statement concerning the case of Yulia Tymoshenko, made by both Ukrainian and foreign politicians, is to some extent pressure on the court. He said this in an interview with Austrian newspaper Die Presse, ForUm learned from the press office of the Party of Regions.

"Every statement about the process is influence on the court. I am sure it is also so in the Austrian legislation," Mykola Azarov said.

Answering the reporter's question what would happen if the court does not return a guilty verdict, the Head of Government said: "If the Court issued its decision, we will comment." "But not a minute earlier," he stressed.

Commenting on the statements of the alleged selective approach to the trial on Yulia Tymoshenko, Mykola Azarov said: "This is a common phrase used by media. It is not proven."

"Even in Austria there are trials on former politicians. But I never think to say that someone practices selective criminal liability. This principle should be also applied to Ukraine," he added.
