The visit of the President of National Council of Austria is an evidence of desire for the further active development of Ukrainian-Austrian relations. It has been reported by President Viktor Yanukovych at the meeting with President of National Council of Austria Barbara Prammer.
“I hope that your visit will open new areas of interaction between legislative bodies of Ukraine and Austria and provide interesting experience of legislative activities of National Council of Austria for us,” Viktor Yanukovych said, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
The President emphasized traditionally friendly and constructive character of Ukrainian-Austrian relations and rather active dialogue between the two states at a high level.
According to the President, Ukrainian side is expecting Federal Chancellor of Austria Werner Faymann with an official visit to Kiev.
The President of National Council of Austria has expressed her gratitude to Viktor Yanukovych for the opportunity to meet with him during her first visit to Ukraine. Barbara Prammer has highly appreciated the preparation of Ukrainian and Austrian ambassadors for the organization of her visit to Ukraine and added that she had already held a couple of productive meetings.
The President of National Council of Austria has emphasized intensive contacts between Ukraine and Austria in trade and economic sphere first of all. She added that Austria was closely following events in Ukraine and its development.
