A city train has been launched today, October 4, in Kyiv, ForUm's correspondent reports. Prime Minsiter Mykola Azarov, Kyiv mayor Oleksandr Popov, director general of Ukrzaliznytsia Volodymyr Kozak were the first passengers of the train.

The trains will go in the morning from 6 till 9.30 a.m. and in the evening from 16.30 till 20.00 p.m. Total number is 66 trains - 30 trains in the morning and 36 in the evening. The train course includes 14 stations: Kyiv-Passazhirski (train station), Vydubychi, Leviy Bereg (left bank), Darnitsa, Levoberezhna, Troeshchina, Kyiv-Petrovka, Zenit, Vyshgorodska, Syrets, Rubezhovska, Borshchagovka, Kyiv-Volynski, Karavayevi Dachi.

PM Azarov thanked everybody involved into the construction of the city train, saying it is another victory of Kyiv. According to him, the combination of the city train stations with metro stations will simplify the life of Kyiv residents living uptown.

The construction of the city train structure cost 223 million UAH, 80 million of which were allocated by the state budget.
