In the nearest future the authorities will return to the consideration of the issue on returning of deposits, made by Ukrainians in USSR banks, President Viktor Yanukovych said in an interview with Ukrainian journalists in Warsaw, ForUm learned in the presidential press office.
"I charged the government and the National Bank to work out by the end of this year a mechanism on returning deposits and to start this process," Yanukovych said.
"It is our debt to the older generation. I want to tell the people that I remember about it and that we will come back to this issue very soon," he added.
The President also promised to use system approach to finally bring this issue to its logical end.
