President Viktor Yanukovych stated at the meeting with UEFA President Michel Platini that Ukraine would do its best to ensure that final stage of EURO-2012 would be conducted at a decent level and become a real holiday for millions of fans.
“These events are historical for our country and it is wonderful to turn over this page with you. I am confident that infrastructure built in Ukraine today will also be used by the future generations,” President Viktor Yanukovych said addressing to the UEFA President.
In return Michel Platini emphasized significant progress achieved by Ukraine in the preparation of infrastructure for EURO-2012. The UEFA President congratulated President Viktor Yanukovych with successful work in this sphere.
“I was really impressed by the progress Ukraine achieved in the preparation of infrastructure. On behalf of the UEFA I would like to congratulate You and Boris Kolesnikov (Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine) for you have done a great work,” Michel Platini said.
