MP of Ukraine, Chairman of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction, Olexander Yefremov said that the situation with former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko will not affect relations between Ukraine and the European Union, ForUm learned from the Party of Regions press office.

The politician agreed that Tymoshenko question is being raised and discussed in Europe. At the same time, he said, the situation around the ex-Prime Minister has no connection with issues of obtaining visa-free regime, free trade area or with agreements that Ukraine plans to sign with the EU.

The MP added that the President of Ukraine defined clearly Ukraine's foreign policy. In addition, according to Olexander Yefremov, the Cabinet of Ministers is working today on the plan that Ukraine must fulfill to the European Union.

The MP said that he participated in the meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, where it was decided to finish the whole procedure of documents preparation to sign bilateral agreements with Ukraine in October.

"We are sure that Ukraine will also sign these documents," he said.

Olexander Yefremov also added that currently the First Vice Prime Minister Andriy Klyuyev is in Brussels, and he asked to expedite in Parliament the consideration of a number of documents that will help to sign agreements with the EU.
