Prime minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov assures that social benefits will not be reduced in 2012 state budget, he told the press after visiting a Kyiv school.

"I repeat once again: it wouldn't be worse, only better. How better? Well, it will depend on possibilities of economy and the state budget," he said answering ForUm's question.

Azarov noted that in 2012 the budget provides for 90 milliard UAH for education, as well as essential means for social expenses. "We are realists. Nobody is going to solves one's problems at cost of others'. The government's policy under current conditions will be very careful," the PM pointed out.

According to him, if events move favourable, budget articles will be revised. "And we will allocate more means for social development," Azarov summed up.
