Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov said that the opening of National Sport Complex "Olimpiyskiy" in Kyiv will be held on October 8, 2011, and there "can not be" any postponement of this date.
"Stadium’s leadership can talk about postponement only at the labor exchange. Therefore, there can not be any delay," said Vice Prime Minister told journalists during a visit to the stadium, where he inspected the progress of work.
Borys Kolesnikov also said that the opening ceremony will begin on October 8 at 20.00, and will be attended by 2100 artists and volunteers, as well as guest stars of the show business.
According to "Interfax-Ukraine", Vice Prime Minister noted that "during a month a lot of work is still to be done on NSC "Olimpiyskiy", but it is mostly cosmetic in nature and concerns mainly the installation of seats, completion of roof installation, development of under-stands rooms, Press Center, as well as installation of necessary equipment and staff training.
