Judge Rodion Kireyev has rejected most of the documents the defense asked be admitted as evidence in the case of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

The court agreed to obtain the contract signed between Naftohaz and RosUkrEnergo in 2006 for the supply of natural gas and accounting records on the price of technical gas. The other six requests were denied, with the judge claiming that they weren’t sufficiently justified.

“Your Honor, you are a criminal. You are covering up a crime, you are an accomplice to fraud, you are deliberately covering up the truth in this trial. Nechvohlod, Khoroshkovsky, the prosecutors sitting here, Yanukovych, you and RosUkrEnergo, which today is represented in all government bodies, are one criminal group,” Yulia Tymoshenko said, commenting on Judge Rodion Kireyev’s decision, according to ex-premier's official website.

This remark was met by applause from the members of parliament in the courtroom.
