On 1 August 2011 the first group of 600 volunteers of the Kyiv host city
began their training program. All of them registered at the web-site of
the host city, filled in questionnaires and then passed the interview.
The first stage of training is language training, for which, according
to the training program, 100 hours are provided. In the coming days at
the Dynamo stadium the future helpers of the Championship will have
their first practical task. The Information Centre Ukraine 2012 learned
this at the EURO-2012 directorate of the Kyiv City State Administration.
At the KCSA they note that by the end of the year the first stream of helpers of the Championship will be schooled – they will receive certificates that they have been trained and are ready to work as volunteers during EURO-2012 and other mass events of the capital.
