President Viktor Yanukovych considers it necessary to develop a program
of protecting miners at work, he said during today’s meeting of the
Government commission for investigating causes of the Sukhodilska-East
coal mine blast.
According to Viktor Yanukovych, the program should be jointly elaborated by the specialized authorities, and managers and owners of mines. "We should work together to create a program that would provide for the absolute performance of all the measures necessary to protect miners at work," the President of Ukraine said, referring the meeting.
"I draw your attention to the importance of drawing objective conclusions from the tragedy. Most importantly – this must not happen again," he said.
