President Viktor Yanukovych has decreed the creation of an interagency working group for preparing proposals on improving legislative regulation in the area of fighting against budgetary legislation violations.
In three months the interagency working group is to analyze legislation on fighting budget abuse and law enforcement agencies’ application of such legislation, the issue of avoiding liability for budgetary legislation violations, and the effectiveness of measures to solve the problem.
The working group shall prepare and submit its proposals on how to improve the legislation punishing for budget abuse, and how to make avoiding the responsibility for such abuse impossible.
The interagency working group includes representatives of the Presidential Administration, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Prosecutor General’s Office, Security Service of Ukraine, State Treasury, Customs Service, State Tax Service, State Service for Financial Monitoring, State Financial Inspection.
The working group is headed by Presidential Adviser, Presidential Administration Main Office for Judicial System Affairs Head Andriy Portnov
