In October 2010, Ukraine and EBRD agreed on allocation of the credit at EUR 175 million to national energy company Ukrenergo for construction of the electricity transmission line of 750 kW Zaporizhzhia NPP-Substation Kakhovska.
The funds are extended for the term of 15 years; a credit rate is about 2.2%.
The beginning of the line construction was planned for 2011, its construction, as it is expected, will take about two years.
Within the frames of the project, in addition to construction of the electricity transmission line, it is envisaged also to construct substation Kakhovska, as well as two branch lines from the existing electricity transmission lines.
In addition, reconstruction of substation Novokakhovska is envisaged, as well as emergency control automatics equipment and communication.
