Ukrainian will continue taking its rightful place as the national language in our state, President Viktor Yanukovych said in an interview to leading Ukrainian media.

The President also stressed the need to create conditions for development of other nations’ languages living in Ukraine. "The conditions will be created for all languages used in Ukraine. In the Zakarpattya region it is Hungarian, in the Chernivtsi region it is Romanian, in the Odessa region there are districts where Bulgarian is spoken, in the Donetsk region there are people speaking Greek and there are large areas where Russian is spoken," the President said.

According him, "people will be speaking in the language they like."
