NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said that it is too early to talk about Ukraine's possible participation in the creation of a European missile defense system.

"We are currently conducting joint analytical work with the Russian Federation, analyzing the areas of cooperation in building a missile defense system. And we have yet to decide on how this architecture of missile defense should be like. Therefore, it is too early to talk about Ukraine's possible participation in the creation of this system," he said in an interview with Channel 5, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

As reported, former Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko earlier told Channel 5 that NATO could use Ukrainian radar stations as part of the creation of a European missile defense system.
