Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko believes Viktor Yanukovych’s
decision to create an expert group to establish a Constitutional
Assembly that will draft changes to the Ukrainian Constitution is a
scam, Tymoshenko's official website cited the opposition leader.
"Yanukovych is starting a scam with new amendments to the Constitution. The dictator’s dictatorship isn’t strong enough. Soon he’ll be introducing changes to the Ten Commandments. It’s pathological," Yulia Tymoshenko wrote on Twitter.
As reported, on Feb. 21 Viktor Yanukovych signed a decree to create a scientific-expert group to establish a Constitutional Assembly.
On 1 Oct. 2010, Ukraine’s Constitutional Court annulled the 2004 political reforms and restored the 1996 Constitution, giving President Viktor Yanukovych the powers a president had during the times of Kuchma.
