Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko believes the government transfer of the strategic oil gas reserves of the Black Sea shelf to fraudulent investors should be the subject of special hearings in parliament and carefully studied by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

"If this tragedy happened today during the government meeting, then a special meeting of the Verkhovna Rada must be dedicated to these events, there should be special reports by government officials and criminal cases opened by the Prosecutor General’s Office," Yulia Tymoshenko said today after her latest round of questioning at the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The ex-premier also demanded that Viktor Yanukovych and Mykola Azarov ensure the openness and transparency of the transfer of the Black Sea shelf to the American company Vanco. "I want to make a public request to Yanukovych and Azarov that they inform the public that during today’s government meeting a decision was made to surrender the nationally strategic shelf of the Black Sea and all our oil and gas reserves to the clans the surround Yanukovych," she said, according to Tymoshenko's official website.

Yulia Tymoshenko does not rule out that the information is secret. "I consider this to be an official public request to Yanukovych and Azarov, and they must give an answer to the public and the opposition," she emphasized.
