President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych arrived for a working visit to Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai, the Russian Federation, where he will participate in the first Ukrainian-Russian cross-regional economic forum.
The working visit of the Head of Ukrainian state is held at the invitation of the President of Russia.
The Ukrainian-Russian cross-regional economic forum has been arranged as a follow-up to the agreement reached by Ukraine’s and Russia’s Presidents at the April 21, 2010 meeting in Kharkiv, as well as the third sitting of the Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission.
