Lviv City Council has restricted the sale of alcohol in the city at nighttime.

The executive committee of Lviv City Council made a respective decision on Friday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

According to the decision, trading enterprises in the city must not sell alcohol from 22.00 to 10.00.

The draft decision proposed restricting the sale of alcohol from 23.00 to 07.00, due to numerous complaints from citizens regarding the violation of public order during nighttime and an increase in the number of crimes committed by intoxicated persons. However, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy proposed increasing the period of restrictions on the trade in alcohol during the night from 22.00 to 10.00. The executive committee's members supported this decision.
