The Crimea Development Strategy will concern all the areas of life of the Autonomous Republic, said President Viktor Yanukovych in an interview after the meeting on the strategic development of Crimea, according to the presidential press office.

"This project is comprehensive. It provides expansion of legal capacity of Crimea and creation of motivations for investors to come to the region," said Viktor Yanukovych, adding that it also includes state target programs that will create conditions for active development of the ARC.

The President noted that since independence, especially in the last years, much time was lost in the development of Crimea, so today it must be caught up with. "We will involve Crimea citizens and active people from outside in this process," he said.

Answering the question about the Crimean Tatars, President Yanukovych stressed that solving their problems is an integral part of the work of state authorities in Crimea. "The question has been neglected, especially in the last five years. Many unresolved issues led to violations of the law. We must correct the mistakes. We will be inviting representatives of the Crimean Tatar people and leaders of virtually all public organizations to opening various programs: humanitarian, investment, etc., including the construction of social housing," said Viktor Yanukovych.

The President also said that in the nearest future draft law "On Restoring the Rights of Persons Deported on Ethnic Grounds” will be brought up for public hearings for the Crimean Tatar population of Crimea. The President expressed confidence that the bill would be adopted by the Parliament.
