According to Yulia Tymoshenko, President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office to find any reason to put her in jail in the next 3-4 months.

"In every room of the Prosecutor General’s Offices they’re saying that Yanukovych personally instructed the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office to find any reason to put me in jail in the next three to four months," Yulia Tymoshenko said today in front of the central investigation department of the PGO in Kyiv, according to BYuT press office.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, these instructions came directly from the president. "Yanukovych is personally monitoring this process and the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s office is personally reporting to him," she said.

Yulia Tymoshenko reported that today she was summoned "in connection with the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s pretrial investigation into criminal case # 49-1293."

"The investigator for special cases, Pushkar, invited me here to present me with the resolution on the opening of a criminal case," she added.

"It’s obvious to me that today our political team is the only obstacle to the shadow privatization of the state monopolies, which are our state’s strength and competitive edge, and depriving Ukraine of its key state monopolies in the production and transport of oil, gas, hydro and nuclear energy, aviation," Yulia Tymoshenko said.

"I will do everything I can, despite the criminal case, to prevent this tragic development of events for Ukraine," she assured.
