Kyiv has taken a step closer to UEFA requirements on accommodation of target groups and fans during the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, Head of UEFA EURO 2012 Local Organizing Committee in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky told the press Wednesday, UKRINFORM reports.

According to him, if the government will take the earlier sounded decisions on lifting a 10-year tax on hotels to be built in Ukraine, so in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Lviv the questions about hotel infrastructure could be resolved.

In addition, as regards the reconstruction of the National Sports Complex 'Olimpiysky' in Kyiv, Lubkivsky said that 'the object is currently making up for the lost time'.

However, he noted that we already have the terminal F at the Boryspil International Airport of Kyiv, Donbass-Arena in Donetsk and Metalist stadium Kharkiv. Other objects that will be used during UEFA EURO 2012 are yet behind schedule, Lubkivsky added.

On December 11, 2009, UEFA finally approved Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Donetsk as host cities of the UEFA EURO 2012 European Football Championship.

Ukraine are co-hosting the UEFA EURO 2012 final round with Poland from June 8 to July 1, 2012.
