The council of the united parliamentary opposition is calling on Yevhen Kyseliov, the host and producer of the show "Big Politics with Yevhen Kyseliov" on the Inter channel, to uphold the principles of freedom of speech and allow representatives of the opposition to appear on his program.

"Representatives of the parliamentary opposition, particularly deputies from BYuT, have not been given the floor in recent programs. In light of this, we ask that you consider having opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko be the main guest on your upcoming program on April 16, 2010," says the statement, according to Yulia Tymoshenko's official website.

Yulia Tymoshenko, who received more than 45% of votes in the presidential election, has not been invited to participate in the program "Big Politics with Yevhen Kyseliov."

"We trust that the political situation that has developed in Ukraine following Viktor Yanukovych’s victory in the presidential elections doesn’t influence your principles and dedication to professional journalism."

The statement was signed by Borys Tarasyuk, Mykola Katerynchuk, Volodymyr Stretovych, Yuriy Karmazin, Roman Zvarych, Yuriy Lutsenko, Serhiy Sobolev, Mykola Tomenko, Ivan Kyrylenko, Oleksandr Turchynov and Hryhoriy Nemyria.
