UEFA President Michel Platini has arrived on a two-day visit to Ukraine, UKRINFORM reported.

During his visit, Platini is expected to inspect the state of Ukraine's preparations for hosting the UEFA EURO 2012 European Football Championship. He is scheduled to visit four host cities in Ukraine - Donetsk, Kharkiv, Lviv and Kyiv.

During their visit, UEFA officials will be informed about the pace of the country's preparations for hosting the finals of the championship. The UEFA delegation will visit all of the four stadiums that are to host EURO 2012 matches in Ukraine.

Platini will also meet with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

The EURO 2012 finals will take place in Ukraine and Poland June 8 through July 1, 2012.
