Opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko has announced that if the
Constitutional Court passes an illegal decision in the case on the
principles of coalition-forming in the Verkhovna Rada, her team will
appeal to the Verkhovna Rada and Congress of Judges requesting that they
consider whether such individuals should remain judges.
"As for the judges who vote for an unconstitutional decision, our political force in the Verkhovna Rada will propose draft resolutions on dismissing them as constitutional judges and will fight so that such judges are dismissed for violating their oath," Yulia Tymoshenko said today during a briefing.
The opposition will also request that these judges be dismissed if they were appointed by the Congress of Judges. "As the opposition we will appeal to the Congress of Judges and all governing bodies in the judicial system to convene an extraordinary session of the Congress of Judges and request that they dismiss these judges for violating their oath," explained the opposition leader.
"Because if the Congress of Judges also allows such things to happen, this will be additional proof that justice does not exist in our country, and that there is no protection against anti-constitutional actions," said Yulia Tymoshenko.
