Candidate for President and current Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko
held a meeting with representatives of all her regional election
headquarters on the concept for the campaign before the second round of
presidential elections, Tymoshenko'ss official website reported.
According to BYuT faction leader Ivan Kyrylenko, during the meeting they discussed possible ways of cooperating with Serhiy Tihipko's team, with whom they have begun negotiations on his support for Yulia Tymoshenko’s candidacy in the second round of voting.
"They’re both from Dnipropetrovsk - Yulia Tymoshenko and Serhiy Tihipko. Will his team really work for the Donetsk team? This is one of our reserves," said Ivan Kyrylenko.
However, he believes that work with Serhiy Tihipko’s electorate will require some effort. "This will not be simple, because it doesn’t mean that they’ll immediately support us, but we will appeal to Dnipropetrovsk patriotism," added the leader of the BYuT faction in parliament.
Ivan Kyrylenko also believes that Yulia Tymoshenko should increase the number of meetings she holds with voters locally. "We have very high hopes for her visits," he explained.
