Ukraine's industry is slowly returning to the pre-crisis production volumes, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has told the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, NRCU reported.

She reminded that in September 2009 the industrial production growth posted 1.9% against August. "Such a figure is a record over the whole period from 2000 to 2008. It means that crisis is fading away step-by-step," she underlined. Tymoshenko said that the industrial production growth in machine-building sector made 16.1%. "It means that the Ukrainian machine-building as the most important sector is recovering dynamically enough," she noted. Tymoshenko also emphasized that the rise in industrial production was fixed in 21 regions of Ukraine, while in August the growth was registered in 10 regions. The Prime Minister also named three regions showing the highest growth of industrial production: Kherson region (+29%), Zakarpattia region (+26.5%), and Vinnytsia region (18.2%).
