The problem of graduation of 2012 must be solved already today, vice speaker Mykola Tomenko told a roundtable on this issue taking place in the parliament.

Tomenko informed that according to the data of Education Ministry, there will be 235 thousand school graduates in 2011, none in 2012 and 427 thousand in 2013.

“We must find a solution as soon as possible,” he said. He voiced three ways out. “The first one is revolutionary – to cancel 12-year education system and go back to 10-year one. Second one is to postpone the implementation of the 12-year system and keep the 11-year one. And the third one is to introduce 12-year education system, but also allow externship to provide a number of graduates in 2012,” Tomenko explained.
