The Prime
Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is convinced that change of leadership of
the National Bank of Ukraine will facilitate stabilization of
the national currency of Ukraine. She declared on air of the Ukrayina channel, Government portal reported.
“Pursuant
to the Constitution of Ukraine the course of national currency is within
responsibility of the National Bank while the Government of Ukraine is banned
from involving into these things,” the Head of Government emphasized.
According to Yulia Tymoshenko, the currency
course depends on the emission amounts the NBU implements and emission amounts it
comes to the market with. “I am convinced and underline once again that for now
the course has to be UAH 7-7.50 against dollar taking into account import,
export, all the showings, all budget parameters and the crisis conditions,” the
Prime Minister explained.
