The Ukrainian government has empowered the
Finance Ministry to provide government guarantees at USD 2,005.7
billion for the restructuring of external liabilities of NJSC Naftogaz
of Ukraine, NRCU reported.
Under the document, the Cabinet endorsed a draft agreement among the government, Naftogaz and Credit Suisse Securities Ltd. as a dealer-manager on the restructuring of the company's liabilities on the relevant credit agreements with foreign creditors. In addition to this, the government ordered Naftogaz and Finance Ministry to agree, by October 20, principal conditions on the restructuring of the company's debts on external liabilities.
