Head of the Socialist Party of Ukraine Oleksandr Moroz is not going to participate in the presidential election, according to Kyiv Post.

"We are ready to submit a candidate together with the Communist Party of Ukraine. I refuse to participate in the election voluntarily, because I already know the three or four top candidates in the upcoming campaign," he told the Illichevets newspaper.

Moroz added that the Socialist Party should enter the parliament.

He also said that he addressed the communist a year ago to form a bloc to participate in the elections. "This would allow us to get 12-15% of votes during the parliamentary and local government elections," he said.

As reported earlier, Moroz said that the SPU wanted to submit former head of the State Property Fund Valentyna Semeniuk-Samsonenko as its presidential candidate.
