Within the frames of fulfilling the State Target Economic Program of the domestic market development for a period till 2012, UAH 5,676 million (USD 1/UAH 7.7) will be allocated to the Economics Ministry and the State Committee on Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy from the State Budget to set up test laboratories to determine quality and quantity contents of genetically modified organisms (GMO) in foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials, the Cabinet's resolution reads, the text of which was published at the government's official website.

In particular, the funds have been allocated to set up test laboratories, taking samples of goods, development, making and registration of test systems, as well as for carrying out attestation of principles for determining the quality and quantity contents of the GMO in foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials, ForUm informs, referring to UkrInform.
