According to a survey conducted by the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) on June 12-16, nearly half of all Ukrainians support a presidential-parliamentary form of government, according to Kyiv Post.

NISS Director Yuriy Ruban presented the results of the study at a press conference on Monday.

A total of 2,008 respondents from all Ukrainian regions participated in the poll. Its margin of error is 2.1%.

A total of 42.7% of respondents said they support a presidential-parliamentary form of government in which the president is elected in a national poll, while a parliamentary majority forms the Cabinet of Ministers. Some 28.9% of those polled said they support a presidential form of government when the president is elected in a national poll and heads the government, and 12% of Ukrainians backed a parliamentary form of government when a parliamentary majority forms the Cabinet of Ministers, while the president is elected by parliament.
