The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko criticized the Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych for his refusal from negotiations aimed at creation of the wide colaition with the ByuT faction. The colaition will not be formed, despite numerous and long negotiaitons held by these political forces, ForUm’s correspondent informs.

"The talks were extremely complex, but still they proceeded. Yanukovych put an end to them and without warning anyone, unilaterally pulled out of the negotiating process. He made a loud political statement, which ruined any chance of unification in Ukraine," Tymoshenko said in a statement broadcast live on national TV on Sunday evening, Kyiv Post reported.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, she had agreed to make any possible concessions in order to ensure the two political forces' unification.

"Our political force agreed to make major, unprecedented compromises. We made concessions in all issues. We were ready to make any sacrifices - political, electoral, as well as sacrifices related to our image and staff," she said.

Tymoshenko suggested that Yanukovych probably decided to quit the negotiating process because of her bloc's unwillingness to increase the age limit for presidential candidates.

"I believe that my refusal and the refusal of our team to meet these demands prompted Viktor Yanukovych's withdrawal from the talks," she said.

Tymoshenko said she did not regret this attempt to unite these political forces.

"It is the right way to go. I won't give up. I will do everything I can to unite, strengthen and consolidate our country," she added.
