The Party of Regions has no reasons to block the VRU work, demanding to dismiss the Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko. Deputy chairman of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov said today at the briefing, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
He reminded that MPs reached agreement to hold investigation within this week.
He hopes that for this time MPs get materials and documents concerning actions of Yuriy Lutsenko in Frankfurt Airport.
As a reminder, last week the PR faction blocked the VRU podium, demanding to dismiss Yuriy Lutsenko.
On May 16, the parliament newspaper Holos Ukrainy published a parliament resolution on creation of investigation commission on the consequences of an incident with Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko at Frankfurt Airport.
423 MPs voted for such decision on May 15.
In its resolution the parliament asked the government to hold a seven-day official investigation into the incident with the minister.
The government should also decide on Lutsenko's suspension from duty for the time of the investigation.
Earlier German media reported that police on May 4 arrested Yuriy Lutsenko in the state of strong alcoholic intoxication after a brawl with law enforcers at Frankfurt am Main Airport.
Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko's 19-year-old son was going with the Ukrainian delegation. Police, according to German media, had to put handcuffs on the son of the minister for aggressive behavior.
