The Swiss National Bank will help Ukraine's National Bank to stabilize Ukraine's national currency – hryvnia,.
"We have agreed about the technical agreement between the NBU and the Central Bank of Switzerland," Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said during the Swiss economic forum in Thun on Thursday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
Yushchenko explained that the technical agreement envisages advisory assistance on the issues related to the modernization of the banking system.
Ukraine's National Bank Governor Volodymyr Stelmakh told reporters that the framework agreement was signed earlier and was elaborated on Thursday.
According to Stelmakh, the Swiss National Bank will help Ukraine stabilize the national currency.
Volodymyr Stelmakh akso reminded that IMF allocated the second tranche to Ukraine, the part of which will be spent for financing of foreign debts obligations.
Stelmakh is convinced that if the goverbnment comes to the monetary market and acts effectivelly, then the strenthening of hryvnya will be obvious.
