President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko calls to take effective measures on prevention and spread of swine flu on the territory of Ukraine. It is said in the letter of the President to the PM Yulia Tymoshenko, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“I ask you to form corresponding intergovernmental commission, headed by the vice-PM fro provision of coordinated prevention measures and provision of effective information work,” the letter says.
At the same time, the President stressed that for the continuous monitoring over the spread of flu viruses, including swine flu, as well as for provision of the activities of virus laboratories of state sanitary-epidemiological service of the Ukraine, the government should take measures for the allocation of UAH 50 million from the state budget for the operation of state “Ukrainian Center of influenza and acute respiratory infections” of the Health Ministry.
