The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has endorsed the list of construction and reconstruction of ring roads around Ukrainian cities within the framework of preparations for the 2012 European Football Championship, according to Urkinform.
According to the document, the total volume of finance for that effort to be allocated from the 2009 national budget's special fund makes UAH 500 million (UAH 7.70 / USD 1).
Particularly, the money will be spent on construction and reconstruction of highways bypassing Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv and Odesa.
In May 2009, the UEFA will finally call Ukraine's four cities to host the 2012 European football finals. Following tenders, Kyiv, Lviv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk were called the base cities, while Kharkiv and Odesa obtained a reserve status.
