Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko said at the meeting with representatives of the domestic and commercial banks that Government will take care about that real sector of the economy has an access to the necessary financial resources and citizens of Ukraine be protected. That’s why Yulia Tymoshenko thinks that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, National Bank of Ukraine and representatives of the banking sector should draft a number of common documents to overcome the crisis in this sphere and to provide transparency of the banking system.

According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, first of all it is necessary to adopt a law on transparent rules in the banking sector. Yulia Tymoshenko noted that the second document would be a Memorandum between the Government, NBU and commercial banks. It is planned, the Head of Government said, to set out approaches to solving the problems which are not subject to legislative regulation.

The Prime Minister also considers that it is necessary to work out the Government’s resolution on the procedure of recapitalization of the banking system at the cost of the IMF resources.

Yulia Tymoshenko informed that a common group would work at documents, including representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, NBU and commercial banks. Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko delegated her two advisers for this group: Serhii Tihipko and Oleksandr Ginzburg.

The Head of Government added that documents should be ready within a week.
