Real gas price for Ukraine - $130

Bogdan Sokolovski, authorized representative of the president on international energy security, told journalists that the average price for Europe for the next year is about 300 USD, while Ukraine is offered $400.

“It is unreasonable price taking into account the drop of oil prices,” he said.

Sokolovski noted that if the gas price for Europe makes about 300 dollars, then it should make about 260 dollars at the border with Russia, taking into account the fact that the gas is transported through the territory of Ukraine.

“We should not forget that according to the Agreement on three-year long transition to European gas prices for our country and taking into account the 50% discount, the gas price for Ukraine should be 130 dollars,” Sokolovski said.
