Ukrainian
and Polish governmental teams have dwelt upon preliminary contents of a joint
report of Ukraine and Poland for the sitting of the UEFA
Supervisory Council in Nyon, Switzerland on December 10.
As Vice
Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Vasiunyk announced during a briefing following
the joint enlarged sitting of the National Coordinators of Ukraine and Poland in the issues of preparing the
states to the European Football Championship 2012, the Polish side got
familiarized with information about reconstruction of NSC Olimpiysky and
construction works on Lviv stadium.
“So, even
now, owing to the fulfilled work of the two teams we can admit that formula of
holding the matches of the Championship chosen two years ago – four to four –
from the Ukrainian side still remains in force. I am convinced it would be
supported by the UEFA in May of the next year,” Ivan Vasiunyk said.
At the same
time, according to the President of Football Federation of Ukraine Hryhoriy Surkis, “By May of 2009 both teams should demonstrate a
real progress in implementation of concrete works”.
In his turn

Drzewieckie assured his Ukrainian colleagues
that “everything being done in Poland connected to readying to the
Euro-2012 is fulfilled in time”.
