President Victor Yushchenko together with Minister of Finance Viktor Pynzenyk, National Bank Governor Volodymyr Stelmakh and First Deputy Chief of Staff of Presidential Secretariat Oleksandr Shlapak met with International Monetary Fund’s mission to Ukraine, president's press office reported.
At the meeting President thanked the Fund’s Mission members for their active work during their last visit. “We would like to thank you for your position that enabled us to quickly get positive answer to our request for financial support”, - he said.
President also expressed assurance that Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and the National Bank would keep up to the loan agreement with the IMF.
From her part Head of the Mission Ceyla Pazarbasioglu stressed that the IMF expects quick stabilization of financial and economic climate in Ukraine, adding also that the Fund’s experts are optimistic about development of the situation in Ukraine.
