At the WCU's request Yulia Tymoshenko appointed a Cabinet's representative for permanent connection with the Congress. On commission of the Premier Vice Prime Minister Hryhorii Nemyria shall establish a direct contact with the WCU leadership.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister thanked representatives of the World Congress of Ukrainians for big contribution in making the famine (Holodomor) in Ukraine being recognized as genocide act all over the world.
Yulia Tymoshenko also informed that Government had timely financed all measures connected with the 75th mourning anniversary of Holodomor and promised further support in this issue. According to her, the Government, in particular, to finance the creation of a big museum of Holodomor. "This is an important milestone not only for Ukraine but for many countries," she said.
On his part president of the World Congress of Ukrainians Yevhen Cholii told that already 17 countries of the world had recognized Holodomor in Ukraine as genocide. He assured that Congress would continue such propaganda, "This tragedy of the Ukrainian people and the whole humanity". He told that Congress is working at placing true information about Holodomor in schoolbooks and not only in Ukrainian schools.
