Unemployment can reach 8% in Ukraine in 2009.
Director of the State Job Center Volodymyr Halytskyi stated at the round table meeting "Disbalance at the labour market."
According to Halytskyi, lowering of demand, lowering of export prices and price rising for import production will cause lowering of the GDP in 2009 by 4%.
"According to the classic law of economy, lowering of the GDP in 2009 by 2% cause growth of unemployment by 1%. We can wait for growth of unemployment by 7-8%," the Director of the State Job Center told.
He added that in the nineties level of unemployment reached 11.3 - 11.7%
