Domestic banks introduce a commission on sale of foreign currency. Henceforth, a Ukrainian will have to pay by almost 30 hryvnias more for a purchase of $100 than it’s indicated on tables at a currency exchange office, ICTV television reports.

The commission of around 3% will be paid for “accounting and cash operations”. At present, PryvatBank and UkrSotsBank have already introduced fees for sale of foreign currencies, and several large banks have announced their plans to introduce the commission.

The central bank says it treats with understanding the initiative of bankers to raise their income in such a way.
